crossing the slit
Crossing The Slit
english version
“crossing the slit” is both a performance and a live video installation. The stage is divided by a green line: the slit. Initially separated from each other, the common border leads the two dancers to an encounter. Driven by play and curiosity, they escape isolation and find each other. The projection above the stage shows their movements as transformations.
For Alain Caillau improvisation is his central component of dance practice, he is the founder of the group EXPERIMENTALBODY in Toulouse. Franz Sramek aka Frantschesko is dedicated to slowness with his project “Slow Forward” and is part of the movement-duo SRAWUSCH. Improvising together in public space in 2020, they met video artist Adrian Terzic, whose work can be seen on stage for the first time.
